Experience

• Former Internal Auditor for the West Virginia State Treasurer's Office.  Responsible for auditing the Treasurer's Office and the Board of Treasury Investments to ensure compliance with rules and regulations. 
• Former employee of the Department of Cash Management in the Treasurer's Office.  Responsible for regulating and reporting state agency spending of federal funds according to the Cash Management Improvement Act.  Additional responsibilities include a consistent relationship with banks when reconciling large complex accounts, regulating the West Virginia State's Linked Deposit Box Program, and monitoring the required collateral for each bank according to the West Virginia State Code. 
• Former external auditor for the accounting firm Sullivan, Ware & Hall, PLLC.  Audit experience included internal control examination for banks and generally nonprofit organizations.  Additionally, audits consist of an evaluation of the financial statements to determine if they are presented fairly and compliance testing of state and federal grants according to their grant agreements.
